LOCAL KNOWLEDGE
What to Know Before Booking a Courier in Dallas
Dallas-Fort Worth is two cities and dozens of suburbs joined by tollways. These six points decide what a delivery costs and how long it takes.
Two Downtowns, 32 Miles Apart
Dallas and Fort Worth anchor opposite ends of the Metroplex, with Arlington and the airport between them. A delivery from Plano to Fort Worth can pass through a dozen cities, so routes here are priced by distance and drive time.
Tollways Are Cashless
The Dallas North Tollway, the President George Bush Turnpike, and the Sam Rayburn Tollway bill by TollTag or license plate, with no cash lanes. They are often the direct route to Plano, Frisco, and the northern suburbs.
TEXpress Lanes Change Price With Traffic
Managed lanes on the LBJ Freeway, I-35E, I-30, and Highway 183 charge a toll that rises as traffic builds. They give a courier a faster option at rush hour, at a price that depends on the minute.
I-35E Is Not I-35W
Interstate 35 splits in two through the Metroplex: I-35E runs through Dallas and I-35W through Fort Worth. An address on the wrong branch is 30 miles off, so the letter matters.
DFW Airport Charges to Drive Through
International Parkway, the road through the middle of DFW Airport, has toll plazas at both ends and charges vehicles that use it as a shortcut. Deliveries to the business parks around the airport usually take the highways along its edges.
Hail and Ice Stop the Roads
Spring thunderstorms bring hail, and a winter ice storm can close the area’s many overpasses and elevated interchanges. On those days deliveries slow down or wait until the roads are treated.

DALLAS COURIER FAQ
Dallas Courier Service FAQ
How much does a courier service cost in Dallas?
It depends on the route, the number of stops, the vehicle, and how soon you need the pickup. Tollways and long Metroplex distances both play a part. Enter your addresses for an estimate.
Is same-day courier service available in Dallas-Fort Worth?
Yes. Same-day delivery is available across the Metroplex, including Dallas, Fort Worth, Plano, Irving, Arlington, and Frisco.
Do Dallas couriers deliver to Fort Worth?
Yes. Dallas and Fort Worth are one market, and deliveries between the two cities, or to Arlington and the Mid-Cities in between, are routine.
Can a courier deliver to the northern suburbs?
Yes. Plano, Frisco, McKinney, Richardson, and Addison are covered, usually by way of the Dallas North Tollway or Central Expressway.
Can couriers pick up near DFW Airport?
Yes. Couriers pick up from warehouses and offices in Irving, Coppell, and Grapevine around the airport. Add the suite or dock number and the hours someone is there to release the order.
Do toll roads change the price of a delivery?
They can. Many of the fastest routes in North Texas are tollways or priced express lanes, and tolls on the route are part of its cost.
Can one courier make several stops across the Metroplex?
Yes. One route can combine stops in Dallas, the northern suburbs, and Fort Worth. Share the full stop list so the order can be planned to limit backtracking.
Can I schedule regular deliveries in Dallas?
Yes. Deliveries can repeat daily or weekly, and the couriers you rate highly are offered your route first.
